' First for sail and power.'

Fun

Welcome to Hamble River Sailing Club. We have been a recognised RYA Training Centre since 2005. The Centre runs dinghy sailing and powerboat courses; and certain shore-based courses including first aid. We can provide both the youth and adult dinghy sailing pathway in our club dinghies which include: Visions; Feva's; Fusions; Toppers; and Optimist's. We also offer the RYA powerboat scheme and you can qualify for your Powerboat Level 2 Certificate and then your International Certificate of Competance (ICC) to rent a boat out abroad.

All of our available courses are visible on our website so please feel to browse and perhaps book yourself a slot. To book a course got to: https://www.hrsc.org.uk/booking. We are competitevly priced and can even consider bespoke course delivery, private lessons coaching or just offer sailing and powerboating experiences including team building and RYA Onboard opportunities for school groups, businesses etc. Details of our courses can be found on the links to the left of this page.

The minimum age for training courses is 6 years old for sailing and 8 years for powerboating (Level 1).

The minimum age for a Powerboat Level 2 is 12.

To participate on a Stage 3/4 or adult level 3 course attendees MUST have completed a Stage 1/2, and attended regular sailing sessions either at HRSC or another club. In some cases prior assessment will be made by the Chief Instructor before a course place is assured, as without regular training attendees are unlikely to have the required experience to complete these stages.

When making a booking online or through the office payments must be made in full at the time of booking. Please see the HRSC Terms and Conditions http://www.hrsc.org.uk/training/booking-conditions

HRSC requires all attendees to be members of the club. All non-members will be charged an additional fee making them a temporary member for the duration of the course or the day of their activity.

*FLAGSTAFF TRUST subsides are available for HRSC courses RYA stages 1-4. If you are under 18 and live within 25 miles of the River Hamble, you may qualify for this subsidy. When booking your course, please contact the office to apply for the subsidy. HRSC has limited funding, so make your booking now to avoid disappointment! Information about the Flagstaff Trust can be found here.DSC_6964.JPG
